Denali Commission

The Denali Commission plays an essential role in contributing to the well being of our region through economic development.  AVCP Transportation is proud to partner with the Denali Commission in providing the following projects to our region:

1. Oscarville Access

Planning and design phase, we will be conducting soil samples, surveying, etc.  We will also be working with the village to determine the route and conduct village meetings.  The planning and design phase will be approximately 2-4 years.

2. Pilot Station Road Rehab

Planning and design phase and construction.  We will be conducting meeting(s) with the tribal council finishing up planning.  Tentative construction for this project is summer 2010.

3. Nunam Iqua Boardwalk

Construction phase, materials are being purchased and tentatively scheduled to be shipped to Nunam Iqua on the first barge spring 2010 and construction will be beginning there after.

4. Atmautluak Floating Dock

Planning and construction phase, we will be traveling to Atmautuak to meet with the Tribal Council and finish planning of the project.  Tentative plan is to purchase materials by spring 2010 and construction will begin there after.

5. Kongiganak Barge Landing

Construction phase, according to contractor QAP, the project is 90% complete, a barge landing was constructed in the village.
