IRR High Priority Projects

AVCP Transportation submitted numerous high priority projects applications and we were awarded the following:

1. Kongiganak Deep sea port and access road at Ilkiwik

Planning and design phase, we will be conducting soil samples, surveying, running the route, etc.  We will also be conducting meeting(s) with Kongiganak Tribal Council to discuss additional planning and design.

2. Chevak Road Rehab and construction

Planning and design phase, we will be conducting soil samples, surveying, etc.  We will also be conducting meeting(s) with Chevak Tribal Council and community meetings to discuss additional planning and design.

3. Eek Community Street Upgrades

Planning and design phase, we will be conducting surveying, environmental, etc.  We will also be conducting meeting(s) with Eek Tribal Council to discuss additional planning and design.

4. Tuntutuliak Boardwalk Upgrade and Construction

Construction phase, materials for Tuntutuliak are being purchased and tentatively scheduled to be shipped to Tuntutuliak on the first barge spring 2010 and construction will begin thereafter.
