To support education, employment, training and economic development activities in order to more fully develop the academic, occupational and literacy skills to make such individuals more competitive in the workforce.
To assist our tribal members to succeed in the workforce by encouraging self-sufficiency and familiarizing our tribal members with the world of work, and facilitating the creation of job opportunities and any services related to those activities.
AVCP Education, Employment, Training Department’s goal is to provide client services in this region under P.L. 102-477 grant requirements and guidelines that are outlined in the service delivery plan. AVCP serves 56 tribes in this region and one of the challenges that we face is educating the tribes that these programs are available to tribal members and Native Americans that live in this region. Most of our outreach/recruiting process is by traveling to the villages and meet with the local tribal councils and the community about the programs we provide or through email, fax and mostly by phone to the clients we serve.
