Child Care Assistance Program

Program Purpose

To increase the availability, affordability, and quality of Child Care.
The program allows parents to engage in educational and employment opportunities.

Program Description

The AVCP Child Care strategy is to serve the 56 tribes in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta by working with village tribal councils to address Social & Economic Conditions in this region. Our goal is to provide more access to child care program dollars and coordinate the delivery of services with State and Federal agencies to maximize available resources to provide cost effective services to clients.

Child Care Service Area
Parents have the option of choosing which child care service area will best meet their needs; whether its the Child’s Home, Providers Home, Licensed Family Home or a Child Care Center

Child Care Providers
-Must apply by application – only ORIGINAL applications accepted!
-Submit a Tuberculosis Clearance (TB) form with application (included in packet)
-Submit for a Criminal Background Check (CBC) – details in packet
-Submit for an Alaska Business License where required – details in packet
-Must be no less than 18 years of age
