SUMMARY: The Activities Coordinator is responsible for budgeting, planning, and coordinating healthy activities for those who are participating in Healthy Families Workshops or other activities and services provided by Healthy Families.


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Plan and coordinate evening activities for participants attending the Healthy Families Workshop in Bethel.
  • Order necessary supplies.
  • Develop and maintain an annual budget.
  • Work in a team setting with department staff.
  • Model a positive attitude, healthy behaviors, and team work.
  • Adhere to confidentiality policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Individual must have the ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management; Have excellent written/oral communications skills; Be able to work independently and without direct supervision; Complete tasks within strict timeframes. Have knowledge of creating and maintaining budgets. Have experience coordinating activities that range in size from small to large. EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. RHS Certificate or HUMS Associate Degree preferred but not required. At least two years of direct related experience in lieu of accredited education is required.



This position is a Grade 6 and has a Salary Range of:  $56,328 – $84,492
