AVCP has joined up with TCC, Kawerak, and AFN to formally request a field hearing on the State of the Salmon in Alaska. The four organizations recognize the critical importance of salmon to the people of Alaska and want the opportunity to bring Alaska’s Tribes to a meeting with the Alaska Congressional Delegation so they can share directly the challenges they are facing and provide recommendations for moving forward. A joint letter signed by the heads of the four organizations is being provided to Senator Lisa Murkowksi, Senator Dan Sullivan and Congressman Don Young today.
