With the concern over salmon on the Yukon and Kuskokwim Rivers, the Association of Village Council Presidents has drafted a strategy to address the decline and collapse of the salmon fisheries. It consists of five components including the Yukon River Salmon Emergency; Fisheries Economic Disaster Requests; Federal Engagement; State Engagement; and Regional Engagement.
