The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) has launched a short survey and virtual public meeting as part of the Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan and Freight Plan (LRTP/FP). Transportation plays a vital role in every Alaskan’s day-to-day activities and DOT&PF is planning a comprehensive approach to clearly map out our future transportation goals and priorities for Alaska through 2050, support the state’s economy, and raise the quality of life for Alaskans.
Your voice matters in this plan! We ask that you:
- Take this 10-minute survey and share with others in your network to help DOT&PF understand how you use transportation infrastructure and your priorities for transportation within Alaska.
- View the virtual public meeting to learn more about how DOT&PF is planning to better connect Alaskans and keep us all moving through 2050.
The LRTP/FP provides the long-term vision, policies, and decision-making framework that will guide the transportation system over the coming years and maintain and improve the freight transportation system. The LRTP/FP is expected to be finalized in August 2022 – Stay involved through the planning process by signing up for email alerts, visiting the project website, and reviewing the Transportation Assessment.
